One day in Nagraj's life
Nagraj gets up everyday at 4:00 A.M. Takes his bath and gets ready to go to the surrounding villages.
He goes there in search of a daily laborer job. If it's his lucky day, he will get work, mainly which includes ploughing field. He will be paid Rs 10 for working for two hours.
He will come back by 6: A.M and head to the panchayat office where he works as a sweeper.
However, things were different a couple months ago. Back in February 2011, Nagraj had a life where he earned Rs.4200 per month. Those were the days when mining was continuing in the Hosadurga taluk of Karnataka.
"Life was different, life was good,"said Nagraj. "I earned enough to live a life where i didn't fear what tomorrow has in store for me."
Nagraj is one of the farmer who lost their compensation after the closure of illegal mines of Hosadurga.
